This piece, by @dahliasc.bsky.social, gives a very good and accurate overview of how right wing Israeli public opinion has become over the past decade, and why Netanyahu is not an outlier. These are my takeaways - and differences.

Despite misgivings about Netanyahu’s Gaza plans, most Israelis support his approach to the Palestinians.
And yet, as we saw with Brexit, such democratic dialogue fell on deaf ears. Remainers seemingly lost because we hadn’t grasped that rational arguments would get you nowhere and we should’ve used emotional arguments instead. Iain is bad faith because he’s no real interest in what you say.
Since you’re the one who’s arbitrarily decided for us that we should leave the ECHR, why don’t we start at you listing which human rights you’d like to give up in pursuit of whatever agenda it is you have in mind?
Why should it stop taxation on private schools? Or prevent banning home schooling? Seriously, you’re upset by that? I was privately educated and I’d go further than merely slapping VAT on. I’d end private school education altogether. Plenty of reasons for doing that. And nothing to do with ECHR!
Labour MP Stella Creasy has produced a couple of videos where she attempts to justify voting to ban Palestine Action.

I never understood (I knew why of course but just didn’t understand it) why Leeds Uni Chaplain Zecharia Deutsch wasn’t charged under the Terrorism Act after joining the murder spree in Gaza. Then returning as if it was just normal, presumably having murdered people, and expecting to resume his work.
Well done to this superstar for this public service broadcast.

You know I look at that convoy and it reminds me (wistfully I’ll admit) of that scene when a similar convoy entered a certain Bogotá street in Clear & Present Danger …
I know many Jewish people are speaking out, not least academics, students & those on the political left (aka the “wrong kind of Jew”) but they should ALL - and equally Christian Zionists - unequivocally condemn what Israel is doing & has done for decades, turning itself into a pariah rogue state.
Well, it’s a brush that has been routinely used to tar Muslims around the world, so why not Jewish people too? So many are either vocally-supportive or silently-complicit in something Netanyahu & cronies says is being done in their name. Israelis & Zionists are the masters of conflation & Hasbara.
