SUP update: the pavement for SUPs on 153 Ave (82 St to Griesbach Rd) and 66 St (153 Ave to 137 Ave) is pretty much all there, but the concrete segments at some intersections along these two streets are still being constructed. #yegbike

A small portion of the City of Edmonton’s bike map. There is a dotted line on 66 St from 153 Ave to 137 Ave, marking it as a “future route” and connecting two existing bikeways.A small portion of the City of Edmonton’s bike map. 5. Attention 83rd Ave riders: The good news is that EPCOR is filling in the holes and finishing construction between 98th and 99th street. Bad news is that they'll be closing the bike lane between 101 and 102 St starting on Wednesday. Alternative is the Fringe site detour via 100St & 87 Ave. #yegbike

83rd Ave contraflow bike lane is open east of 99th St, while the main traffic lane is still closed, but should be reopening soon.Fringe site detour sign heading westbound at 83rd Ave and 100th Street.

I almost can’t believe that by the end of the 2025 construction season 66 St will no longer be one of north Edmonton’s worst streets for bicycling. If you told me in 2023 that I would one day be excited to take a trip on 66 I would have laughed lmao
