When I see grown-ups claiming they worship an invisible friend, I can take an educated guess. In fact, I can think of numerous other mental illnesses that are LESS pathological than that one. I mean, sure, if it's a 7-year-old hanging onto a belief in Santa, we make allowances. But a grown-up? No.

Is my lack of belief in unicorns also a religion? Is my disbelief in every manner of neurotic delusion its own separate religious tenet? This is madness...but then, religious people are dedicated to their voluntary psychological self-mutilation. Nothing I can do about that. Live long and prosper.
