OVERHEARD: Elderly British couple walking west around sunset, and I overhear her angrily say to him, "I can't see anything when they put the sun so low" and I'm wondering who the "they" is in this instance.

tbh… this sounds like something I would say, despite knowing there is no “they” 🤷🏻 sometimes our brains work in funny ways and block out everyday vocabulary.
