  1. Do it! Now!! Don’t wait! New York, New Jersey, Washington, Illinois etc.!! We have to at least try to beat back the fascist Republicans.

  2. No, we can’t. When both sides are blatantly cheating, then the “game” is meaningless. The “winner” is the one who cheats the most.

We cannot play with a cheater. If they don’t want to follow the agreed-upon rules for elections, then BYE!!!

  3. Just do it. The only reason we are in this whole horrible fucking mess is because the Guardians Of Pedophiles Has gerrymandered minority control of our congress. Blue states need to hit back. All of them.

  4. Yup. Fair is fair. Or more like "Unfair is unfair” Cheating is cheating. Both sides.

  5. While you're at it, introduce House bills to:

    1. Join North and South States as one, and East and West States as one. It's a trick GOP used for more representation, they are not really independent if they always are governed the same.

    2. Statehood for Puerto Rico & DC Full voting & Representation.

    2
  6. Every blue state should start the process to do the same yet leave it to each governor to enforce it if red states continue to cheat voters of their voice.

  7. Not very well: CA's redistricting method is embedded in our Constitution. Residents would have to vote to amend the Constitution (something they DO sometimes do - all too often, IMO - but I sort of doubt they would do it this time).

  8. This is a very dangerous game. It'll cause a cascading back-and-forth between dem and magats until the number of reps is ridiculous. It will cause millions of voters to question if voting is even helpful at all. People will give up. I don't know how we solve this without war.

  9. Beyond time the Dems act and stay ahead of the cheatin Republicans. Beyond time they listen to their voters. Attack them.

  10. I'm happy that Dem leaders are finally seeing what game this is. They've been acting like this is a game with rules we have all agreed upon, when in reality the opponent has swept the pieces off the table, opened all the doors, and is now playing beer pong with the coyotes

  11. I have never been so ambivalent about a human in my life. lol. Love this.

  12. Why wait for what Texas is going to do?DO IT NOW! Democrats need to be on the offense. Just do it.

  13. Do it! I’m sick of this never ending story and slow slide into Authoritarianism. Do it! So, we can impeach all of them and reset our Democracy from top to bottom.

  14. Not a game but our democracy at work 😡 Democrats must respond like Gov. Newsom or we’ll lose our chance to save the country in 2026. I’ve changed my mind about the Democratic response because TX MAGA GOP and Dear Leader are so corrupt!

  15. With the way Republicans have illegally gerrymandered to the max already Dems should have no problem doing it in all the blue states.

    2
  16. Just do it! They will wait until the last minute and do it and then Dems won't have time to do it before the election, so do it now!

    2
  17. Texas was already gerrymandered to hell. i'm not going to cry about Henry Cuellar losing his safe blue seat, but i surely hope some pubs wind up getting dummymandered out of theirs.

  18. Every vote should count correcting corruption with corruption IMO this WILL SCREW US ALL. We need to a US grid done in perfect equal squares for any real balance. Of course this is an idea from an exhausted person going to bed not knowing what a viable solution is. Fight fire with fire I guess.

  19. They need to do this anyway. If the magats don't play by the rules, we shouldn't either

  20. You go Gov.! Trump always messes with our economy which might not be so devastating if he actually knew anything about economics. He is an idiot!

  21. Finally!…now carry it through…no more time for normally…the other side are corrupt, criminal fascists…old, not new, testament stuff….an eye for an eye.

  22. I’ve always been one for playing by the rules of fairness. I’m done. They’ve stolen or rights, our liberty, and our future. They’re working on stealing the future of our children now. Fight fire with fire. Fight back before it’s all gone!! It’s time to fight the way they do.

  23. The republican party is not playing by any rules of fairness, decency, or respect for majority will. It’s time to fight fire with fire.

  24. America must vote to replace the GOP representatives & senators, then 1. Vote to Impeach Trump 2. Try & convict him in Senate 3. Remove him from office 4. Demand resignation of all current Cabinet officers 5. Demand SCOTUS Thomas & Alito resign 6. Try & jail Trump on criminal charges of corruption.

  25. Please start with D1 so Doug Lamalfa can go back to spending the money he grifted off the American taxpayer for the past decade. The man is worthless.

  26. Mathematically can't be done.

Even if you pooled all Republicans into a single district (the absolute limiting case), you would still have one red district.

    1
  27. I hate to say it, because gerrymandering is basically horrible, but...yeah, behind this 100%. Make GOP-held districts extinct in the state if they move forward with this. Enough is enough.

    1
  28. JUST DO IT!

    And NY and IL.

They want to cheat? We will show you how to gerrymander motherfuckers.

    Pound them into dust.

    0
  29. It was theoretically even easier to do this in Illinois, by drawing all the districts as strips radiating outward from Chicago. Obviously, that would have offended the Dem legislature's sense of fair play, though the actual 14-3 split was still an improvement.

  30. DO IT.

Seriously, we probably need to go more proactive. "Oh, you're considering it, are you? BOOM, we've already done it, good luck in your fucking worthless future endeavors." Maybe think twice before your next power grab for a change.

And he should. We should support it.
Trump won’t stop until our foot is on his throat. Congress could stop him by the end of the week , but they won’t so Go Gavin.

  32. The correct response would be to sanction ALL TX reps, give them no votes and no access to committee seats- until the get fair and independent districts. But what do I know, i'm just a lefty from way back.

  33. He should remain Governor and create a coalition of other Governors to stand up to this lawless administration. He's being heard and it is important to continue.

    2
  34. I don't disagree that you need to get power back from this administration, but it says something that you have to cheat in US election systems to get power back from the previous cheats. You need an administration with the courage and vision to create a truly independent electoral oversight body.

    0
  35. Don't talk about it; do it. The Supreme Court ruled that cheating is ok, so cheat. You can be sure the GOPPERS will push it to the extreme, and then some.

  36. This will only lead to a more escalated division of our nation and possibly that Civil War II that should be avoided. I'd much prefer a revolution against fascism than a war between states. I don't know what to do about the Texas gerrymandering, and yes it is wrong. But 2 wrongs don't make a right.

  37. Why it took them almost 20 years to realize this was an option is baffling to me. Often the only language a bully understands is a punch in the face. Grateful for even the hint of a spine.
