This is false. Just to begin with, Musk skews the algorithm to promote his own posts (www.theguardian.com/technology/2...) which are far right.
He also bans anti-fascists and un-bans fascists.
He also promotes people who pay him for checks which are inherently far right.

It existed before that interview. The joke went viral because the actress pretended to know what the term meant but didn’t.
No one in politics is using the term but it’s a perfectly fine term in its context.
