Sadly, as in all things Trump, they use our tax dollars to defend their illegal conduct. At best, we force them to follow the law. At worst, they create new infringements on our rights. It is a one way ratchet. 😟

Weirdly, I feel like if the Trump administration is brought down, it will not be because of its fascism. Rather, it will be his imposition of tariffs, which will hit everyone’s pocketbook, hard and quickly. Ironically, the tariffs are not even in the Project 2025 playbook, but may be its downfall.

Trump has no downside. If his edicts violate the law, the best we can do is prevent him from enacting them. In other words, requiring him to obey the law. Where we fail, he is able to expand his power and influence illegally. We can’t win. We can only lose.
