As a Californian and father of a transgender daughter I have felt this way for some time. Yes, he is killing it as our #1 fighter against Orange Caligula right now. Yes, I will hold my nose and vote for him assuming there is another election ever & he is the nominee. But there are better choices.

Well, it's nothing we haven't seen before. These people will use any rationalization, excuse any crime or moral failing, explain away any fault, excise-- or even transfer-- any blame, just to keep the faith in their Dear Orange Leader. You know, the same way they do with their dear and fluffy Lord.

We have a golden doodle who does some of the same things. We planted four 8' fruit trees along the fence in our backyard, about 1.5" in diameter. He ate three of them. Ate. Them. He's fine, by the way, the big goofball. I saved the fourth only by putting a metal screen around it.
