  1. Still a bit south of the main wildfire smoke plume from Canada but some signs it may drift into the area tomorrow into Thursday with a renewed push of air from the north and east. Code Orange forecast for Delaware on Wed, and not far off locally. Details plus forecast at cwg.live.

    wildfire smoke forecast from the HRRR weather model shows a denser portion of the plume trying to work into the DC area later Wednesday in particular. The worst is forecast to be in PA and NY and west/northwest of that.

  2. Big heat is poised for a comeback... 🔥📈 Forecast models show highs surging back well into the 90s — esp between Aug. 12–15. 🌡️ Humidity will climb too, ending our midsummer break from D.C.'s sticky norm.

    Smoke on satellite this afternoon. It is thickest from central PA northward into New York and New England.
