Unpopular opinion apparently but: She spoke up and allowed her face to be seen. Brave woman in light of the current situation. First I've seen to give us a first-hand report of what's happening there. The regime needs to be shamed. Not her.

Just a guess but "faint" and "unfortunate" and "destruction" are going to loom large pretty soon if the trajectory of the current policy plays out the way it seems to be going.

Boomer here. One of Mum's friends had a leg brace a la what Forrest Gump wore early in the movie. It was fairly common in my childhood to see people with one Huge shoe to compensate for a leg wasted by polio. They were the survivors. It was an annual scourge. Forever happy to have been vaxxed
