Exactly the problem. I'd prefer we clamp down on the Neanderthals than change the existing rules on this.

A right to marry someone who you're not interested in because of your unchangeable sexuality, is a useless right. Gay people were clearly disadvantaged.
A right to wee with people of your sex, not the opposite sex, is still a useful right. But why loos? Prisons, rape crisis centres all matter more.
-
Well, you said 'the opposite sex'.
As in two opposites. Invalidating all the other ones, you meanie.
You know this, really, transphobic as reality is.
-
Everyone has a place to wee. Same.
Not everyone had the ability to marry who they loved. Different.
👍

Your transphobia is fine, while mine is unacceptable and 'bad faith'. Got it.
Face it - when it matters to you personally, sex suddenly matters again. Why won't you afford women the same understanding?
-
Ah, so violent dickheads are the problem.
What sex are these violent dickheads, mainly?
They're male.
The people you want females to accept in their sex separate spaces, to make you feel better.
-
Also - surely you mean gender in the above statement?
You can't be suggesting that sexuality is based on sex, surely? What about your transbian friends? They're probably feeling very invalidated now. ARE YOU DENYING THEIR RIGHT TO EXIST?

This is clearly not the same as access to single sex spaces. There, everyone has the same right. No fundamental difference in provision.
Removing all separation of all spaces based on sex clearly has serious impacts. Which is why the right to single sex space exists.
-
Hardly. Same sex marriage was not available, so people could not get married to a same sex partner. They didn't have a right to marry the person they loved - a fundamental difference - and extending that right had very low impact on anyone else.

- You can. You just can't choose which one to use, like everybody else.
- Because you make errors like the above.
- Godwin's this early indicates you really have nothing to contribute.
