  1. Different time. A group of GOP Senators, led by Barry Goldwater, went to Nixon and told him he needed to resign, for the good of the nation and the party. If only that happened now, we'd be in much better shape.

  2. The Atlantic, for several years now if not longer, has been one of the very best ways to keep up with the world, especially the crazed world of American politics. I hope the tide is turning against Trump, as people realize he's comically inept, as well as grossly corrupt.

  3. Sounds interesting. Most people need hope that there are solutions to our problems, not just angst. I'd love to know how they're planning to inspire significant activism, since many could-be activists haven't got off the couch yet?

  4. I'm not saying there aren't. But how likely is it that before (or even after) the November 2026 election anything will change dramatically? I agree that when Democrats regain power, they need to do far more to create a more equitable economy and workable safety net.
