All I can say is:
An Edu fad's purpose is what it does (post ↴)

How is it that Ofsted, can fall into such fads so easily and ruthlessly? #UKEd #EduSky
I’ve just seen a comment on a Facebook group about Ofsted commenting that it was great that a department had no displays. And I honestly just can’t. I’m not a huge lover of doing displays and I keep them relevant and functional, but also, god forbid the children in your room look at the walls.

Try this if you're genuinely interested. From here, the principal works in enactivism, IMO, have been written by Francisco Varela, Evan Thompson, and Ezequiel Di Paolo. Maturana was also fundamental in its foundations, his book "The Biology of Love" is a favourite.

So then, you know that bodies exist in an environment and not a vacuum. And that environment shapes the body, just as that body shapes its environment. What's your question?
-
How could cognition work without an environment?
-
Either way, you should read some enactivism to make the distinction between the different paradigms.
-
No, enactivism isn't behaviourism. We've discussed this point. In a simplification, behaviourism may be seen as explaining behaviour via the environment. Cognitivism as explaining behaviour via internal representations. Enactivism explains the environment and behaviour as co-evolving, reciprocal.

Just bought "El Sentido de lo Humano" for my first venture into Humberto Maturana's writing in Spanish.
