I don't think it is the knowledge that's the problem. It is the architecture we use to access all of the knowledge. This project should have been run by governments, not corporations, in the first place.

it is bad but there are many more important climate satellites that they could be targeting. also, these satellites that monitor atmospheric gas concentrations using spectral bands are going to become useless in a hothouse earth anyway. theres gonna be increasingly too much water vapor in the way.
