Yeah that was kind of a joke, my point being that hunting licenses don't have much to do with gun violence in the US. Therefore, regulation on hunting licenses wouldn't do much.
Regulations on the purchase of ammunition and firearms themselves seem more direct; I think that's the direction to look.
Sure, makes sense to me. I wasn't thinking about it in the context of hunting; a temporary license which needs to be renewed would enforce requirements.
I don't think the broader issue is poaching though; I was thinking about base gun ownership. We need to regulate how one can become a gun owner.
How can you enforce some of these things, like safes or insurance?
I broadly agree though, and think education is an absolute must. I think firearm safety classes are a no-brainer; why do I have to take a test for my driver's license but not for a literal weapon?
"Have some backbone about your game design" is the advice they need to hear, no kidding. I've pretty much stopped playing entirely because of how watered down the game feels all for the sake of "accessibility"
