Folks are going to go into debt over groceries.
Trump did this 👇🏾
Folks are going to go into debt over groceries.
Trump did this 👇🏾
Saw a "cheap" London broil for like $19 a pound. Its getting bad but will only get worse.
2 lbs of steak 🥩! Can i bring the wine?
Fuck paying for shit then.
Take what you need. Break what you want.
Dang $45 for steak! I've told my son today he better how to cook bc eating out is gonna be high AF.
Walmart brisket $9.89#!!
Holy shit $22/lb
At that price Trump doesn't need tariffs to get Australians to buy US beef, he needs subsidies.
Is that even grass fed?
And this is just the beginning. However, the starving MAGA masses will praise him for "owning the Libs" to the last breath they take.
I agree. I shopped today. Beef is out of sight
Yes, and go vegan
A story on NPR talked about all the places that are offering "buy-now-pay-later", including grocery stores. When you get behind in buying food, that's scary.
Eat cake!
Yeah, when I got to Phoenix and looked for a little rib eye to grill, the prices would fill the gas tank twice! I haven't had a steak in 3 years... and I'm doing more veggies with a sprinkling of meat. Wait another 6 months, and it's going to be super bad.
Prime? Choice? Select?
Last week- 2.5 lb chuck steak $35.00!
$20 for chicken breasts same pack was $9 back in Nov
The only way to get through Trump’s war on the poor is to talk to every old person in your communities and find out how your grandparents and their grandparents made it through the 1920’s and 30’s. Home made remedies work. Forever soups. Community barter systems. Bakers trade with mechanics. Do it.
And Publix (a big supporter of tfg) is only too happy to go the extra mile to help put us under
$21.00 a pound? Holy shit.
$27.99CAD per pound in Canada...
South Dakota rancher Calli Williams wants to benefit from high beef prices, but it's not so simple. She and her husband have faced challenges like drought, limited grass for grazing, and rising land c...
Impressed anyone has been able to buy steak. Can't remember the last time I did.
It’s home grown. It’s not inflation, it’s price gouging.
Beef just raises your cholesterol. Fuck cattle CAFOs. They pollute. One cow creates a ton, one TON, of manure a year. Think on that.
Holy shit, thank goodness I don't eat red meat!
That's a pretty fancy-schmancy cut, and there are cheaper ways to enjoy that general quality of beef, namely buy the bone-in option and cut steaks yourself.
22 bucks a pound.
Damn
Credit card debt will go through the roof and collections will have the best time ever 🫣🤔
Really, really glad that years ago we started buying half a cow from a local rancher.
Organic and pasture raised.
Taste is outstanding. And cheaper than any low grade beef at the grocery store.
Buy food? In this economy!?
At that price gotta make over $150k to be buying NY strip!
Paid $17 for a 1lbs ribeye
I see there’s still good deals on kerosene lamps and manual water pumps…
(and…scene)
might be funny if it wasn’t where they want to take us…
Don't worry, soon the BLS data will show the price of beef falling like 1500%. I can hardly wait!
I know, right? Who can afford beef anymore?
It’s doubled in price under Trump.
OMG No That's crazy
I haven’t been able to afford steak in years.
Trump will soon send you a little dividend cheque to appease you because his tariffs are fueling inflation.
Push back, refuse to buy goods that are ridiculously over.
Good God!
Annapolis, MD. Just this morning.
It’s a shame they’ll have to throw it out as most people can’t/won’t pay that much.
Beef became too expensive for my budget a few years ago. Oh well. It was never very good anyway. More often than not, a disappointment.
$22/lb for NY strip?
With a quickness, America is heading back to depression era cuisine. Get ready for a lot of lunches with spam, liverwurst, and/or bologna.
Or worse, not eat at all. 😭
That get's a WOWZA!
Time to go vegan.
No one needs this.
Unbelievable. People already couldn’t afford these things. Now they won’t be able to afford enough to sustain themselves.
Uh oh… soon they’ll be “eating the dogs, eating the cats…”
WOW! That must be some steak. Becha it’s not a Trump steak.
I can't afford to buy meats as often as I used to. If I buy them at all it is because they are reduced for quick sale.
Yup F*ck them all #TuckFrump
Beans and rice are still cheap.
With these prices, people are gonna start rustling cattle again.
I have a coronary every time I go to the grocery store. My son is tired of the mood I’m in when I come out. We are going to affirmatively go anorexic cuz I am just not going anymore. I cannot. It is unbelievably demoralizing.
Whoa! 😮 I’m in the PNW and I paid $8.45 for a package of 2 medium sized petite sirloins! Where was this at?
That tracks with prices in my area🖕
Just the beginning. Buckle up folks these are the dark times.
Or maybe just beans
$22/pound. Damn. Glad I don’t eat much meat anymore.
There's only been minimal reporting on this (because ofc the old guard Dems don't want to talk about it anymore than Repubs), but there was already data a couple of months ago about people taking out cash loans & credit card debt⬆️
On the bright side, we will all be eating less red meat which is better for our health.
Are you stressed out over food?
Didn't he say, "then let them eat cake"?
People start keeping your pets at home.. I think people will start to eat the cats and dogs if these prices don’t stop skyrocketing ! 🫣
No no no.. this can’t be right.. he said grocery bills are lower than with Joe.. he would never lie.. 😅
People will simply stop buying meat, eggs, etc. & many businesses in those industries will fail, which means unemployment for the workers in those industries.
OMG
A lot by of good recipes to help you make your meat stretch. been making two meals from one package of meat. Dried beans and rice are your friend. Save your leftovers and reuse them for stew or a casserole. Today I’ve got a leftover pork chop in the crockpot with pinto beans. You can do this
And that price is for USDA “Choice” grade. The price for USDA Prime is out of sight!
The regime needs to end now
To be fair ... Publix has always been high when it comes to groceries. That's why I pass by two Publix Supermarkets to shop elsewhere. They are just using Trump's tariffs as an excuse to raise prices beyond what they should have anyway..
I’m sure folks who can’t afford groceries will be relieved to hear this. He’s a true man of the people.
Now contrast that pic with the one of Ivanka holding up a can of Goya beans, stating, "try something new."
Go Vegan!
Many people won't be able to buy groceries. I'm so disgusted with our Limp Dick Congress.
Farmers, meatpacking plants, etc., are going to go broke because nobody can afford to buy what they’re selling. Then, small businesses in the communities where those employees live will go broke because they won’t have any customers, and so on and so forth.
Trump magic. He turns $20s into $5s.
2 steaks.
I saw ribeye here in the PNW for 24.99/lb. 1 steak was 29.00.
Yeah. Right….
As we've seen. When Klarna & similar service apps let you break your grocery costs into smaller monthly payments, you realize people are in trouble.
In my case, I don't have to look far to see who did this to us. Half of my county voted Orange, and I despise them. MAGA couldn't do this without fucked up people voting for them in sufficient quantities. And we have sufficient quantities of stupid here in my county.
Enjoy what they voted for 🤣🤣🤣
...and MAGA will say "Let them eat cake"...
Over $6 for a pound of ground beef
Next Months Inflation #’s will be bad

The size of stuff like orange juice, ice cream, toilet paper, yogurt, and cereal keep getting smaller yet the price stays the same. Here are some tips to fight back.
Have rarely eaten meat for 10 years, if it's not on a very good special it does not go in the cart. I shop the ads.
Or just going hungry. Mostly, people on assistance that is being cut by his doge and BBB or fixed incomes that are being diminished by his inflation. THE REAL PAIN IS COMING.
I just ordered coffee online because Costco’s coffee prices have doubled. I hate him.
While billionaires get richer and richer and the regime Grifts let’s see off the American people stealing our money and spending it on vacations for JD Vance
It’s also called corporate greed.
Already here for me.
No strip steak for me but yes, absolutely on the larger point.
Maybe because of this MAGA will turn on him.
I've started buying dry beans in bulk. I don't think we've seen the worst of it yet unfortunately. Beans and rice make a perfect protein.
A gallon of milk is 6,19 !!!! - Famous Diary - #FuckTrump
I have been saying this for months now! This cut use to cost $25 and I know because in buy a lot of stake in my household and it’s doubled in price thanks to what I can only assume is gouging because there’s not a shortage of cows or workers (yet), though I heard that’s changing fast…
Yikes, I just bought flipflops today which is less than half of that.
first, I have NEVER seen a 2 lb NY strip. OMG! 🤤 But NOT at $22 a pound!
I've had training of living on $800 a year, but I was a hippie drop out and lived off the land.. Soybeans are the answer. Very versatile. Yeah Soybeans! My poorest yet happiest years, The Farm, Summertown,TN
A year ago I could get a filet cooked perfectly at a steak house for 50
Thanks to trump its 45 for a NY strip at Publix
It’s not maga it’s MAWA - making America worse always
He can lie about the tariffs all he wants, but once it starts to really hit people in their wallet, they’re going to know they’re paying more for groceries.
Sale on Waygu Billionaire. Well marbled!
Good ole' Pubix! That looks like Hawaii pricing.
Thank God they have "buy now pay later" for groceries these days 😂 But seriously, the trade war is simply a class war. The more of your income that you spend on everyday goods and services the higher your effective tax rate. Real "party of the working class" stuff here.
He literally wants Americans to suffer and die, to satiate his desire for ultimate power! The suffering is the point.
Wow!!
Thank God beef is proven to be unhealthy and contributes to heart disease. Makes it easier to not pay the outrageous prices.
I hope they don't hate us...
"how many tons of beef were imported last year and please list the top five importing countries and what percentage they supplied. also supply the expected Trump tariffs from those countries. list in table format."
About 18% of total consumption.
And this
And this
Food is high here in Canada as it never fully recovered after covid, but this was/is the issue in many countries. Now that you have that cretin in the WH, it's gonna get worse for the US! Beef is expensive here too, won't buy it until it starts to come down. Eggs, I can get them for $4-$5 Canadian.
and what about the price of eggs? 🤪
But… we’re great again… right?
☹️
Gave up meat over 35 yrs ago cause I knew Trump was coming. Revenge is sweet. Vegetariantimes.com
Vegetarian Times has been the plant-based authority since 1974
Publix can call that slab of meat any fancy name it wants, but it ain't worth $45.
It’s a great time to be VEGAN!!
The drugs needed to counter physical harm of beef diet will cost even more.
Don't buy meat
He sure did -- and it was not any cheaper at Costco either.
good thing we should all be eating less beef anyway huh
Was owning the libs really worth it MAGAts? 🤦🏻♂️
We are going to starve
That's Florida beef too!
vegetarian since 1986 I've no clue what cost was b4 the tangerine clown but $21.47/lb for rib eye at Walmart(!) in central wisconsin
prices on produce & dried beans(!) have gone up here too tbf, a lot of stuff is up in cost here now incl bread
lol lol I took this one a few months back! America is fucked lol.
Well... I guess our holiday dinner will be spaghetti and chicken nuggets 🙄
$22 a pound?... OMG it would take someone on minmum wage a 1/2 a days work just to afford half of this package of meat, and an entire day to buy the whole thing. 😱
2lbs of medium quality hamburger...
$15 🖕🏻😵💫🖕🏻
2lbs of ground sirloin used to be $8 FFS
This is not a US only problem. Ever since Covid, food prices have gone through the roof. A rib steak here easily goes for $34 CDN per pound which is $25 USD. That’s at the supermarket, not the butcher
It takes time for all of this to begin and work its way through the country. Prices are higher and will get worse. The hardest hit will be rural America which will be first. Trump takes away jobs, healthcare, and now makes it hard to put food on the table. He will try and blame someone else.
And that's assuming the groceries don't just kill them as a result of gutting the various regulatory agencies and putting a mercury-poisoned brain-wormed talking gas station hot dog in charge of "Health."
I noticed that my local grocery stores have started cutting Sirloin steak to look like strip steaks. Sirloin of course is cheaper than New York Strips so if you don’t read the label….🤷♀️
Food and tariffs, double whammy from F’ing Frump
This is why I do all my grocery shopping at Sam's Club. I can't afford grocery stores anymore!
😱🤬
yes.
And petty crime. Statistically, crime rates increase in response to increased inflation and unemployment rates. Trump's not deterring crime he is effectuating it.
It's ridiculous to consider paying that price for a slab of muscle off a cow that was probably miserable most of its life. I might be able to see paying it if it were a very happy cow at the end of a very happy life... but this is America.
That's nuts!
Stop eating meat. It’s not good for you. It’s not good for the planet. And the production of meat is morally reprehensible. Beans and rice is basically the perfect meal.
I am a vegetarian, and our prices have raised considerably also.
These people were in such an uproar, when Biden was in office about groceries, now I hear very little. 😡
I lived dead broke and hungry most my life, anyone wants cooking tips on how to stretch what you have I'll be glad to have a think about the food you have on hand
Yup. I haven't been buying any beef. That's for sure. I've been nibbling on a tuna casserole I made. It's definitely filling. $ 8.00 for a Lb. of 80 % ground beef. I ended up making chicken tacos instead. I'm not even sure what it's up to now.
And the fucking sheep will pay it because baaaaa.
You to a restaurant store - buy the full cut and butcher it.
Saves a lot of $$$
remember this meme about prices under Biden? I just checked online - same order, NYC, 7% higher than a year ago.
I'm going vegan.
Vegetarian was always cheaper
I see a lot of ramen in my future
It's like I'm back in college again
#ManiacalDespot
Yup. The prices are going up and up.....
Very noticeable
Or go vegetarian…..
Time to discover vegetarian cooking. I was a vegetarian 40 years ago. I should be able to do it again. The problem is, my husband is a meat and potato man.
Maybe opt for Trump's favorite cut of meat.
And a hell of a lot of other things.
Kroger is already offering installment billing on your groceries.
Don't do it! It's a trap!
They won't sell meat in Australia.
Or ranchers will go out of business. I rarely eat beef, period, any more. Too expensive. I’m sure there are 1000s of others who also don’t buy it.
I guess people are taking out credit for food. Buy now pay later.
Everything is higher...bread, eggs, meat, and produce. My coffee went up by 33% over two weeks. It is cheaper to stop by McDonald's and get two McChicken sandwiches for each. America will not be great or healthy again.
I’ve already stopped buying meat.
2 small bags today 150.00!!!!!!
Crazy. $ 22.00 per pound for steak? This might turn out good for cows and animal rights promoters. 🤪
Loan level
Looks like you’re all going on a diet !
😏 I steal
(But nobody should have to to survive anyway)
thats nothing to do with tariffs
He sure did do that!
