You’re 100% right. People are struggling day to day, they don’t have energy for politics. When you have to mow the yard, maintain the family’s only vehicle which is 20 years old, and repair the older home yourself instead of calling someone in, there is no time.

Newsom is making a place for himself on the ballot. Pritzker is not. The heirs apparent, IMHO, are still Harris-Walz. It’s early though (not that early stopped Trump from mouthing off during Biden’s term.
