The problem is he supports NONE of them, other than letting trans people exist. We can at least do equal rights, that’s not an impossibly high standard.

Trans rights is not most cis voters’ make-or-break issue when voting for a candidate. Still wouldn’t be justified to toss trans people under the bus if it was, but the fact that this malice is unnecessary and even harmful to themselves makes it worse, in a sense
