Having watched Newsom before he was mayor, I'll give him credit for this - when he really wants something, he'll go after it & won't take no for an answer. The problem is it's hard to tell if he wants it b/c he truly believes in it, or b/c he thinks it'll improve his presidential chances. So yeah.
