While true, they’re a very small group, and mastercard’s been doing sabotage operations in the NSFW community in the dark for years. They were the ones behind increased patreon restrictions a few years back.
This recent push gives them an easy target to deflect with while they do this publicly.
Japan has a system where online purchases can give you a barcode that you can use cash to purchase at any convenience store and they never know what you are buying.
I feel that replacing the bank manager with ‘Jeff, the accountant with blackmail influence over the bank manager who processes your checks’ doesn’t make the analogy any more accurate, insane or stupid, given what we are dealing with.
