Any sentence beginning "No one is saying..." is almost certainly false. It's the interwebs, people. No matter what you're talking about someone somewhere is almost certainly saying it. And someone else is probably fanatically insisting on it with violent threats.

One possible advantage of light rail RT over bus RT is that rail is a commitment that (once built) is harder to abandon or chip away at than a bus.
