You missed the point by not reading the whole thread - we were talking about poverty in Cuba, and one was responding to the suggestion that it could easily be addressed.

Business will follow incentives - if the failed state messes up the USA market, business will adapt and seek certainty elsewhere.

One suspects that most of the trade law ignoramuses yapping about 🇨🇦Canada dropping retaliatory tariffs on US NAFTA-compliant imports are unaware that apart from China, no other country had applied such tariffs against US goods - ie they all folded and went in with elbows down. 🍁🍁🍁
