Once again you took the wrong lesson from people leveling fast. People leveled fast because they want to feel rewarded for their time, and it feels more rewarding at tier 5 levels, so they play more so they can enjoy it more. Slowing the process will just make it worse

This sucks. You all have gotten completely out of touch with your players this expansion. The game isn't rewarding, and instead of adding incentive, you're killing the few good avenues of grinding.

Nerfing activity drops that people actually do is EXACTLY THE WRONG RESPONSE. This new power going is nigh unbearable. I logged on, was asked by two friends to do a Pinnacle Op, I declined as I ran two with them a couple nights ago, and got nothing, which I assume is because I'm 20 points higher.

It seems that you just want your audience to stop playing the game and instead rely on streamers to play 24/7, which is just 1-2% of your loyal destiny gamers.

Booooooo! The score bonus for using new or featured gear needs to go and the 10% bonus total should be the baseline.

But on the surface it sounds like your fix for the community hating the tediousness of the power grind is to... make it even LESS efficient?
I mean, I gotta be honest, that doesn't make me wanna come back to it.

First time in a decade I really don't want to play because the grind is unbearable and the activities are so limited. You killed your own game.

You guys should just buff power rewards. The grind is miserable enough and the fact that older (and more fun) activities like raids and dungeons do not significantly boost power is a massive failure.

Every time I think I might want to log back in TWIDs like this come out and remind me why I really haven't. I bought the expansion but everything just feels shallow. Add to that grinding is now even slower (when no one wanted the power grind back anyway) is deeply disappointing.

Honestly, as a low 400s player whose friends have basically bailed out sub-200 power, telling me you're making both solo play and play in general less rewarding, it sounds like a series of terrible choices. The game's going in the wrong direction, and it's not worth my time investment any more.

Late comment but relevant. Can you state your expectations for the epic raid at some point. Are you trying to push the 1% again or have an achievable challenge for everyone. Similar to VoW or Crota (1).

Nerfing rewards for pinnacle ops is slap in the face. Bungie HATES when people play their game. I'm taking a break, this is exactly the opposite way you get people to play your game.

Prime Engrams can drop at all Power thresholds, including Power 10. We will need to navigate this during the entire leveling process, Power increases, and Power Resets.
As for "no fanfare": These are your 1st Tier 4 drops in the 300s, 1st T5 drops in the 400s.
Activity Drops > Vendor Transactions

After reading the TWID, is there a process to secure a full refund?

There are some good things in here, but also the biggest miss Bungie has had in a while.
One consistent complaint is that leveling is too slow, even when grinding the most efficient option.
Significantly nerfing the most efficient option when it should have been buffed, makes no sense.

Also, please don’t put modifiers that affect your gameplay on match made activities. Banes, more incoming damage, no radar. OK. Low gravity, grappler, avant- grade… please NO, keep those ones for custom gameplay.

Dear @bungie.net please realize that people were very happy with the rewards of the last 2 weeks, could you keep it similar to that even when is not an event? Extra loot and a bit higher tier rewards is more fun! Don’t reduce the loot in a looter-shooter please.

Nerfing aspects of the portal to bring them in line with the under utilized parts is the wrong lesson. Especially when you're trying to get people to use the Portal going forward. Please pass on that they should be buffing Fireteam and Pinnacle ops so people will run rather than just solo

This is the worst TWID/TWAB I've read in my 7k+ hours of playing. You did absolutely nothing to address the pointlessly asinine power grind. You've quadrupled the grind over years past to create the worst system in the history of video gaming. If the grind is the entire game, there is no game.

Nerfing rewards in Encore, Starcrossed and Whisper along with Solo Ops as a whole feels incredibly tone deaf and like a terrible choice given that you've acknowledged the power climb feels too slow.

I'm ngl I'm quite happy about being able to get stuff from prior seasons. I only played expansions up until late Splicer, so this is a huge W for me.

Almost all of these changes are excellent. I am baffled by all the whining in the replies. Amid all of that, the takeaway is “but I wanted to keep grinding the same 2 solo ops every day forever”? Christ, this community is terminally ill.

Will there be any more deepsight Harmonizers available? One page of my vault are raid weapons I need to extract patterns from and since we aren't getting any potential vault space until renegades it would be good to know if red borders still have this option available.

Yes, you're tuning power grind drops the wrong direction (and responding to a raid that was so hard it forced loadout swaps by adding notswap is...a choice), but something else you misunderstood: Inverted Spire isn't harder, it just forces too much standing around waiting on timers.

The past season stuff is good news, but it's going to take more than that to make me buy an expansion that has 0 craftable weapons

So instead of buffing rewards so that people could feel their time is respected when they play with friends or solo, you felt like nerfing the ways that felt rewarding? Why? Like who are you making these changes for? Grinding without feeling rewarded is not fun. You're just chasing people away.

Feels pretty shit to hear first that the portal leveling is slower than expected, only to have a few twids later announce loot nerf with charts. :(

Ngl, some of this stuff should make me happy, but it doesn’t. I miss crafting. I miss when guardian ranks had more to do with various endgame activities instead of just the portal. I miss not having to spend too fucking long grinding for power.
