I'm crystal clear: Bitcoin IS a crypto currency. I know you'd like it to be otherwise - given the stench of fraud and money laundering that now surrounds "crypto." But if Bitcoin isn't crypto, what is it? A security, regulatable by the SEC? A commodity? A pet rock? A Monopoly token?

Some folks were skeptical yesterday about whether "the media" would take notice of this excellent @npr.org scoop. Yup, it did. One more reason to applaud? CNN gave NPR credit right at the top. Well done!

Did you ever study "risk-adjusted returns"? What rate of return should people be paid to risk their limited and irreplaceable savings on unregulated crypto assets that are riddled with fraud, deeply volatile, and frequently illiquid? Ordinary people have already been badly burned by crypto.

As the New York Times just reported, the actual numbers show that almost no one was criticizing Sydney Sweeney for her American Eagle ad.
But Libs of TikTok decided to pretend that lefties were angry. A story about supposed leftist outrage was concocted out of thin air by liars.

NEW: Amid concerns about the stability of the agency, records show nearly 40% of the doctors offered jobs at the VA from January through March of this year turned them down — quadruple the rate of rejections for the same period a year earlier.

At several VA facilities, more 1/3 of the positions for doctors remain unfilled.

So we're apparently at the point where we should pray Wall Street will be more prudent and careful with retirement funds than regulators are. Uncle Sam: "Bitcoin in a working class IRA? No problem." Wall Street: "Well, that isn't prudent..." This will not end well.

Banks do occasionally seem a little leery about serving con artists. And yet somehow, every Ponzi schemer gets a bank account. So I agree: this is delusional victimhood. But it will be real-world trouble for banks.
