Every tyrant in history has sought to stifle criticism of himself and his regime.
But America was founded on criticism.
American democracy was built on dissent.
Every institution, group, firm, or individual that surrenders to Trump’s wanton tyranny invites more of it.
The pace of our transition from Republic to Autocracy continues to accelerate, with all the same pretexts and justifications we’ve seen in other places throughout history for each incremental move. We even have the enablers and quislings that are a necessary precursor.
