i drive my cars until the wheels fall off, in any case. i've known that my next car will be ev (tho i didn't anticipate this regime's shitstorm xx years ago), but it's still cost effective to drive a car as long as possible before replacing it

i'd sooner melt it down (if it's actual gold)! but i'm concerned about how many wire taps and transmitters and what have you are now concealed into it. quite possibly easier to demolish and rebuild (like we've had to do with various embassies for example)
