Republican legislators in Michigan have launched an audacious assault on democracy by pushing House Bill 4707 to outlaw ranked-choice voting just as citizens gear up to decide whether to enshrine it in the state constitution.
Spearheaded by Rep. Rachelle Smit, a known election denier.
The bill, led by State Rep (and election denier) Rachelle Smit, would also override any local laws that currently permit its use.
