We will never know but I’m guessing that had we stayed in the EU or rejoined the single market the figures would have been even better. But as I say we will never know

Look if she ever gets fed up with America she is very welcome in the U.K. More importantly she can watch real Football, Rugby Union and Rugby League and she can spend a few hours watching many levels of Cricket on summers afternoon, eating cucumber sandwiches and cream teas. Oh no Trump either.

I would also add that the age thing doesn’t matter. Anybody whatever their age should be periodically declared fit to drive or otherwise. I’ve recently observed two very dangerous high speed incidents on motorways. The people who were responsible were well below the age of 70

I’m also in my 70’s. I’ve needed specs since my 40’s. I get tested every 2 years and change my specs as required. I agree can’t see don’t drive. However moving on, I’d like to see shortsighted, narrow minded and bigoted politicians required to undergo tests to ensure they are fit hold office.

DC just got immeasurably more lawless as Trump deploys the national Guard and so-called “federal law enforcement officers” to take over policing in the Streets. Best of luck. This is just prelude to the same thing happening in other Democrat controlled cities like New York
