Sports movies aren’t my thing.
But I did enjoy Field of Dreams.
Probably because of the whole mystical and fantastical element.
I found it to be oddly poignant and serene in ways I can’t explain.
Also the baseball pitch they built for the film is still there, last I checked.
We, meaning me.
Like the royal we, but also not.
Somehow…
At night, our little dog likes to sit outside and look up at the stars.
We also live next to an airport, and she likes watching the planes fly overheard, whether they’re coming in to land or taking off. (As well as the occasional helicopter)
Speaking as someone who is notoriously antisocial, reclusive and terrified of other people.
(My bio does say “nervous wreck”)
Even I know that people are meant to help eachother.
It’s literally written into our fucking genes! (Our geas! To put it another way)
