“There are many who do not know they are fascists but will find it out when the time comes.” - Ernest Hemingway, For Whom the Bell Tolls

Writer, remarker, ex reporter. Politics, music, econ, in no particular order. Boston.

  1. Hey y’all. Don’t repost or quote post these shitty posts. The engagement encourages more bad behavior.

Instead, take a screenshot and use that in your own post. Make sure to tag them so they still know you’re calling them out for being cowardly hacks.

  2. Asinine cowardice by @nytimes.com. Pulling punches and equivocation is destroying the Times’ reputation.

It’s not “a challenge to scientific orthodoxy,” it’s an unproven crackpot conspiracy theory that will cost people, including children, their lives.

A screenshot of a New York Times Bluesky post about Robert F. Kennedy instructing the CDC to alter its language about the completely unproven connection between vaccines and autism. The Times’ post calls the change a “challenge to scientific orthodoxy”.

  3. This should be criminal. It’s worse on the next graphic showing the sharp turn toward Republicans in 2024. With all the open-air corruption, it’s easy to see what they thought they were getting for the investment.

It’s time for a wealth tax. This power needs to be checked.

  4. I’m honestly floored that so many writers thought she was worth reading? This woman has always been a troll.

I remember her proudly declaring she didn’t vote in 2016 because voting was beneath her.

The problem here clearly is that a lot of nerdy men in politics thought she was hot.

This is not true. It’s never been true.

Nuzzi was flippant and shitty in writing toward democrats, and people mistook “edgy” for “good.”

She suggested Biden’s approval ratings might be helped by a sex scandal.

  5. Reminder:

SDNY "was running an active investigation into Jeffrey Epstein[’s] ... coconspirators. In January [2025], SDNY prosecutors were ordered to transfer the Epstein case files to DOJ headquarters in Washington, D.C. ... the investigation into co-conspirators has inexplicably ceased."

  6. "One side is led by fascists. It’s like saying the Civil War, the problem with the Civil War was polarization ...It’s nonsensical. It’s just fascism enabling." www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

On this week’s “More To The Story,” former Yale philosophy professor Jason Stanley explains his recent move to Canada and calls the Trump administration’s takeover of the US government a “coup.”

I study fascism. I’ve already fled America.

  7. "I knew that Yale would try to normalize the situation, escape being in the press, urge us to see the fascists as just politically different, and talk about polarization, which is just fascism. All the people talking about polarization are just fascism enablers." www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
