Ganz' piece is really good. I would add that polling often obscures the fact that if people do not trust their institutions to deliver for them, ever, their answers to questions will often be misleading. E.g.: "Should all Americans have access to health insurance?" Many people will say yes.
BUT:
Ganz killing it here, combining a critical methodological perspective on how polling is done with fundamental political theory about what politics is & what it involves:
