Could legit be something odd going on with .pocket then. I don't know a lot about it at all. I bet the GBC file will work for you. Lemme know if it's borked too if you get a chance..... Once you're done reading magazines. Just about to have a cuppa and leaf through this. !:)

Some interesting (and surprising to me) stats from the OutRun GB itch.io page. The game has x2 the number downloads vs web plays. I'm glad x2 folk are downloading and playing on real hardware or a personal emulator. It's better on the real thing !:)
