I didn’t start talking out of anger. I didn’t speak up to make people feel stupid. We have all been played before….some make it a point to learn from it. The disparity between who gets used and who does the using….has always been wide. The disparity between those who understand the importance of public systems and the ones who use public systems (but don’t realize they do)…has always been wide. The disparity between those who use the words they worship to spread love and the people who use the words they worship as a project collage to marginalize who gets to practice love….has always been wide. I didn’t want anyone to get fucking swindled. That’s why I said something. I didn’t want a weaker constitution even for those who disagree with me. That’s why I said something. I didn’t want censorship. Even of the shit I disagree with. I didn’t want regressive taxes, even for the ones who didn’t know what those were. But i’ll tell ya this….as a non-partisan voter…i’ve not been willing to hang my hat on any party. But I sure as hell sleep better at night knowing nobody in my family lineage will ever have to know I wore one that worshipped a public servant. That shit.
