This is basically what I mean by "noseblind to Hitler particles." If center left people and fascists get used to each other, that's a big victory for the fascists and nothing gained by the center left.
I do think this is the best argument against staying on twitter, which I acknowledge in my piece.

There has been a kind of weird phenomenon watching Richard Hanania and James Effing Lindsay look at the people in their comments and ask WTF is wrong with these people.
The n-word used derogatorily, like rainy days and Sundays, always gets me down.

Everyone who argues for the necessity of staying on Twitter should watch the 1981 movie "Mephisto," and pay special attention to the part where the actor who is cooperating with the Nazis screams "I need the German language!"
The excuses to stay on Twitter depend on a critical mass of Twitter users who might have their opinion swayed. I.e. not bots, troll farms, or committed racists. If they all came to the good place ... Twitter could just be a nazi dead internet and we'd all be better for it.

I left not because of random acts of racism spewed by a few folks, but for being inundated by racist BOT accounts
Whatever claim Twitter once had to being the internet's "town square" ended in the summer of 2016 and became an absolute cesspool once Elon took the helm
I mean…there are definitely spaces on the internet to shit talk for fun, if that’s what you want. And there are some people who sometimes want it. But what’s wrong with people not wanting that? This is a diversion for most people.
