On its own of course not. But is symptomatic of the move to commercialise higher education to a profit centre run like a business with a ‘CEO’ - especially where departments face budget cuts and yet VCs earn 3 times more than the prime minister.

If age has taught me anything it is that loyalty to any company is just BS. When the time suits they will drop you (speaking from a similar experience just over a yr ago). Your no.1 priority is to look after yourself (I now work for a very decent firm, but my priority will always be me).

Just another reason to never ever consider working for them. If they fundamentally distrust their staff so much and can’t treat them like adults then that is their problem. We have quite a few clients who used to be with the big-4 but got fed up with their fees & mediocre performance.

Estonia has got this right. Everyone over 15 gets a digital ID card with 2 certs - authentication & digital signatures. All gvt services use this so no duplication of data. Functions as physical & digital ID. X.509 based all run through blockchain since 2012. Part of X-Road data exchange platform.

Sadly becoming the norm. We were down near Carcassonne a couple of years ago around this time and we had 3 days over 40 degrees (the evenings were worse in some ways as it didn’t drop below 27 at night)

It’d be nice if we could just get to enjoy a cup win for a few days without any shit news. UEFA are a joke & corrupt as you like. But there are elements of the club that still need to be ran better - the ball was dropped our end which gave UEFA the opportunity to do this. A shitshow all round. #cpfc
