Apparently, inflation is bad, but we must impose tariffs to raise the cost of cheap imports so people buy expensive American goods. We can re-shore manufacturing, but to be cost competitive, we have to fully automate factories, replacing American workers with robots.
Right wingers suddenly want to bring back American manufacturing, but they still don’t want to pay American workers. They’re also kidnapping people off the street and shipping them to torturous labor camps. The only way to square that particular circle is that they want to bring back slavery.
