  2. Garden birds not looking well? It could be trichomonosis.

By reporting sick or dead birds, you can directly help our scientists understand this disease.

    Report here: www.gardenwildlifehealth.org

Please don’t clean or remove feeders until after we visit - this step is crucial.❗

A healthy Greenfinch perched on a lichen-covered branch against a soft green background. Birds with trichomonosis may instead appear fluffed up, lethargic, and reluctant to fly, often sitting still for long periods.

  5. Good morning all.

Thanks to @robcrank68.bsky.social for choosing the Dunnock as #BirdOfTheDa, it is another one that doesn't get the attention that it deserves.

    Here's one from me.

A Dunnock perched on a black cloth strap.
The bird is sat and can be seen from the side.
It is looking ahead and there is a twinkle in its eye.
The background is a blurry ivy bush

Today's #BirdOfTheDay is the stunning Dunnock, who loves to trawl the floor for food, Today's alternative bird is a Robin.

    So it's time to Share/QP today's Birds

  6. We have this hardy Bromeliad a long time and this is the first year it has flowered, adding a lovely splash of colour. Obviously the very warm summer had a lot to do with it. We have had the warmest summer in Ireland since records began in 1900!🌱 #Gardening #BloomScrolling #Bromeliad
