  4. So the terves have latched onto the idea of an 'app' that grants you access to the bathroom of your 'biological sex' (ie birth sex, regardless of biology).

    This sounds complicated - why not have the deviants wear some kind of identifying mark? Perhaps a triangle in a fetching shade of rose?

  5. The worst possible path for an unpopular regime is vacillation: unpredictable seesawing between harsh repression, and shying away from the follow-through.

    It destroys both all trust from the opposition, and alienates all potential supporters.
