  1. There has been a bit of a slump on the blog currently as I am working hard on my book, in hope I can finish it soon. I've loved the research process so much, so I can't wait to share the Devilish stories with you!

  2. I love the details on the 13th-century oak door to St Peter's Church, Cound. You can't help but wonder who has crossed the threshold over the centuries. What did this place mean to them? It is so special to be able to follow in their footsteps โ˜€๏ธ

  3. Over the last few days, imposter syndrome has been massively kicking in, but I'm trying to make my brain a kind place, and remember how far I've come. It's such a privilege to share my love of history and folklore, in my own unique way.

  4. I have always loved St Bartholomew's Church in Tong. It's a building with a rich history. Founded by Lady Isabella de Pembrugge, her tomb can still be seen. I noticed today it bears a hexafoil, an apotropaic symbol believed to ward off evil and provide protection.
