People are being very obvious about using the phrase "feeling unsafe" in place of "being super racist" lately

"It was a voluntary event... she chose to join, & therefore it will set a precedent for future arguments like this. As an anti-trans person, are you going out of your way to put yourself into a situation that you know goes against what you believe so you can paint yourself as the victim?"

We need to big this up, a V important legal judgement; if it had gone against us it would have been all over the oligarch/transphobic media as a "Landmark" case. I suspect it may be very useful in preventing Universities from silencing trans people under the pretext of pandering to the OfS.

(except artbooks, those are for showing off)

There's recent books I've read that I'd love to have a physical copy of, some Alyson Greaves, some Maria Ying, Killer Potential. Books that it'd be nice to have an easily lendable copy on hand to convince friends to try them. But it's not a priority because books are for reading, not showing off.

I have a box of books I haven't unpacked yet that's all more non-fiction. I don't think I own a single physical copy of any novel anymore, I've had to leave a lot of things behind over the years and they've just never been important in a way that keeping an ebook wasn't enough.

Discourse about physical bookshelves in 2025 is so funny. Like, who even owns most of their library physically anymore? The vast majority I read are purchased ebooks, checked out from the library, or library ebooks. My IRL bookshelf looks like this.

Fascinating to see a perspective of the Cerberus triplets from below, as powerful incredibly hot deified celebrities, given how much that clashes with the loyal eager to please puppy view of them we get from Persephone's eyes in Hades Calculus.

Thankfully the next few chapters blew the comparison right away. Really liking this now :)

Madalithea rips the sexuality bandage off fast, disastrously so for her, instead of fucking with "will she won't she". She has so far not said a single quip or snarky joke. She really doesn't deserve the association that can't help floating into my mind whenever she talks about death.

Watching that stupid Wednesday TV show really poisoned the well wrt goth girls with suicidal ideation who are implied bi but have a male love interest. I started reading "Flower of the Underworld" and this book so far really does not deserve to be compared to that garbage but I'm haunted by it ðŸ˜
