My friend, you have vastly overestimated my interest in this subject.
What's wrong with the ones you have? The wood windows in houses built after 1960 or so, are often milled from second growth timber which is not durable. Lead abatement can also be an issue. The windows in my 113 year old house work very well. I do use newer storm windows.
