Time flies when this meeting isn't very interesting. Onto public comment, Lori Haas from Center of Gun Violence Prevention, Katie Sitterson from Moms Demand Action, and David Zeballos from Everytown for Gun Safety. No 2A advocates in the house today. That's a wrap for this meeting.

It's hard to summarize the Firearm Purchase License presentation because it's a technical system to prevent unlawful firearm purchases and the crowd here doesn't seem to want to push back against any of its possible flaws.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner is going over gun related deaths and most of it is stuff that's expected but I just say this map of gun related suicides and it looks like the opposite of a population density map. Not what I expected.

VDH cites a study that shows that 28% of firearm assaults were misclassified as unintentional. Theo Stamos from the Attorney General's office asks why that might be the case and apparently the default is unintentional when they should be marked as unsolved.
