Rather than do something, anything about civilians easily obtaining military-grade weapons, the latest mass shooting is another opportunity for "now is not the time" politicians to figure out a way to prove the shooter represents a class of people they hate.

Can't be said enough. It's not merely what he wants to do, that erodes Constitutional law & other norms that affect civil rights, the economy, jobs, education, science, medicine, etc. etc.
It's that SCOTUS & the GOP in Congress/State Officials are letting him get away with powers he doesn't have.
