  1. More Pink Scare tactics? That went out of fashion decades ago, but with the average age of Congress many still remember those good ol days.

  2. Maybe you should step back, and ask yourself why you think someone said a subject is stigmatizing. Then if you don’t understand, ask. You created an argument because you thought you knew more about a subject than someone living it. Check your privilege at the door.

  3. The Gilead injectable is not a vaccine. The Scripps trial is only a proof of concept, which has been achieved before has not passed Phase 2 trials.
80 people does not make a reasonable cohort.
The primate trials are actually not the furthest along.

  4. Also. You show an overall lack of understanding on the subject. There is no vaccine for HIV. There is an injectable regiment that uses an antiviral medication to prevent the virus from propagating. I can see why you would think it is not stigmatizing, but you clearly are insulated.

  5. First off AIDS is a terminal condition so invoking it is problematic. HIV is the treatable disease, but still is referenced as “unclean” within its primary demographics. As someone with HIV, I can tell you with absolute certainty that it is still stigmatized. So I really do not have to ask myself

  6. I cannot see how any Dem does not see the last continuing resolution as anything other than a loss.
But hey! They sent sternly worded letters when their few, tiny, throwaway amendments were ignored! Call the GOP’s fucking bluff for once!
