This is one reason why I’m using Guy of Gisborne in the sheriff’s role - the sheriff being an authority figure a little more in the background. Guy is attracted to Marian, so while he’d love to capture Robin Hood, he’s also wary of not causing Marian any harm.

I think for a series Marian and Tuck should be neutral for as long as possible, in the sheriff’s eyes. Once he identifies them as members of the outlaw gang, his attitude to them changes - and his methods to track down Robin Hood should also change.
-
I’ve mentioned previously, suspension of disbelief is required when the sheriff meets Robin Hood, and doesn’t recognise him, and fails to link Marian and Tuck with Robin Hood. When you write these scenes you realise that you must choose between a suspension of disbelief or a firmer reality.

The Inquisitor at episode six seems out of place because it firmly ties Friar Tuck to the outlaws. In some episodes, in the sheriff’s eyes, Friar Tuck’s connection to the outlaws is more ambivalent.

Creating a definitive running order is complicated by the regions having their own schedules.

It would be great to see the production notes or original scripts, but doubt they are available.

I think the UK order is preferable. In terms of the UK running order, the Network order is all over the place.

Wikipedia. Sometimes it’s right, sometimes it’s wrong 🤷♀️
I’m using the credits on the individual episodes and Network as my main sources.

In series one, after the introduction of the main characters, the episodes are basically interchangeable, except for the period when Archie Duncan was absent due to a serious injury.

I was following the Network running order, then discovered that other running orders are available. My aim will now be to follow the British broadcast order.
