Ahhh we had this issue with a bunch of Iraqis years ago, they had to somehow get out of Iraq and spend months in Jordan to do this as the embassy in Iraq didn’t issue visas ( indeed it was uncontactable)
What books and poetry I have read by Palestinians is very good. Worth studying.
