Yes but what does “good at messaging” mean for Rs? Not Trump deploying a winning message strategy of saying the word “groceries” like a lunatic. It’s maybe 20% that the “groceries” thing scans as authentic (BECAUSE it’s dumb/clunky) and 80% a media machine putting sane filters on what voters see.

I think a candidate taking vocab no-no lists from a think tank has already lost the authenticity battle.

So at some point you just have to say what you’re going to say and stop trying to reverse engineer something they can’t poison. See also: Mamdani cld say any of these words, he probably does, and it doesn’t tank him. Authenticity such as minimally-engaged voters read it outweighs vocabulary anyway.
