I concur, as a fellow late-diagnosed, high masking, lower support needs, who made do by watching what worked for others and attempting to imitate it, though never quite getting it, thus adding to the isolation.

I disagree with you. There is much intellectual content on NPR and PBS. The Children's Television Workshop has prepped children for critical thinking for decades. Nova and Nature certainly provide foundation for the appreciation of science and the environment. Hey, Bill Nye the Science Guy.
