I came home from my first weekend trip to NYC and the thing I talked about the most was walking to an amazing halal cart around the corner from my hotel at 11:30p for some of the best food. No joke - I would go back for that reason alone.

Iâm not the one to lecture. My oldest child is trans. âGender affirming careâ for them consisted of using their preferred name & pronouns at office visits and making sure they had the right group of doctors to support their physical & mental health. That was it. Now theyâre grown and on their own.

Spoken like someone who knows nothing about what gender affirming care entails when it comes to minors. When working with professionals, it is actually a very intensive process thatâs handled with extreme care and consideration. Surgery isnât even a thing until the patient is an adult.

I think ppl underestimate the contrarian element to all this. A lot of Christians enjoy being in the out-group. They need the perceived persecution. If they end up making it too mainstream and âpopularâ to be a Christian, some of the appeal will wear off.
