Maybe we are saying the same thing - my point is that we don’t need to have “burrito taxi” discourse, because if you can’t afford a burrito taxi the government should be expanding the existing burrito taxi program, and if you can, then just get the burrito taxi and more power to you.

I’m not sure what you mean. Meals on wheels is over a third federally funded, and depending on the area another third or more from states through Medicaid etc. It could be expanded through additional federal subsidies, and it’s already set up to distribute meals to people who can’t get them.
